Transaction cost is a problem on-chain. You can go off-chain with Lightning Network and send BTC for a few sat

This does not work... Having money in the lightning network is not recommended and not so safe. And you do not have a lightning connection to everybody... Perhaps paypal can be the lightning bank (not really decentral).

LN has routing, if you don’t want to manage a well-connected node you can connect to some good hub and reach your destination for a few sats. There are a lot of founds in LN as you can see on 1ml.com The channel size limit was recently removed as well

I know it has routing. But bitcoin maximalist are shouting this for years. But lightning developers still recommend storing only very small amounts of BTC on lightning. FOR A REASON. The maximal amount of BTC on the total lightning network was only 1080 BTC. Wake up. Not for now.
